Liz Dempsey Lee
M.Ed., Ph.D.

Liz Dempsey Lee is an educator, consultant, writer, and avid coffee drinker whose questions about the interactions among families, schools, communities, and equity landed her in Lesley University's Individually Designed Ph.D. program. She graduated in May 2020 with an interdisciplinary perspective on the topic above.

Shortly after, she launched LizDempseyLee Consulting with the goal of reframing equity as central to creating just schools, organizations, and communities.  She runs a variety of workshops for parents, schools, and organizations including, Parenting for Equity and All Together for Equity: Building Community Support for Equity Initiatives in Schools.  She also runs small discussion groups for parents interested in exploring their privilege.

In her spare time, Liz teaches active and engaging graduate and undergraduate courses as adjunct faculty at Lesley University, develops engineering challenges for children PreK-8, and listens to podcasts while playing Scrabble (and drinking coffee - of course!)

Angele Goss
M.Ed.

Angele Goss is an educator, facilitator and consultant who has spent more than 20 years working with diverse populations to support their growth and development of community. Her experience largely includes working within educational settings connecting middle, high school, and college students – from low-income families, first-generation college, or students with disabilities - to resources and experiences that improve their access to and through post-secondary education. This work spans a diverse range of school districts, working collaboratively with guidance counselors, teachers, principals, and executive leadership. Facilitating training for residential staff, co-writing grants for the Federal Department of Education, as well as hiring and supervising staff, have given her the ability to operationalize outcomes and objectives.

In addition, as a Cultural Engagement presenter, she facilitates difficult conversations and professional development around race, equity, inclusion, and cultural self-reflection. To date, participants hold the roles of staff, teachers, school administrators, higher education faculty, city administrators, realtors, and community organization personnel. Her work demands an intentional respect for the varied cultures of each organization, its employees, and clients. Experience in corporate settings has helped to shape Angele’s success in her work. She meets participants where they are, building collective common language, and providing opportunities for self-reflection and small group engagement. As a result, participants see the responsibility and value of sharing this work and holding one another accountable to its success.
